Three-Day ‘Cultural Diplomacy’ Exhibition Opens in Herat Featuring 130 Artworks

A three-day exhibition titled “Cultural Diplomacy” has opened in Herat province, showcasing 130 artworks. The event has been organized in cooperation between the Office of the Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Turkish Consulate.

The organizers stated that the goal of the exhibition is to strengthen cultural relations and introduce artistic capacities. The displayed works include examples from various art forms presented by artists.

Herat has long been recognized as one of the country’s important cultural and artistic centers, and hosting such events can provide opportunities to further showcase the province’s cultural assets. However, some cultural experts emphasize that genuine development of cultural diplomacy depends on the creation of an open environment and practical support for artists across the country – a matter that has faced restrictions in recent years.

The three-day exhibition is expected to facilitate greater interaction among cultural and artistic institutions and increase attention to Herat’s local capacities.
