Construction of Two Truck Parking Lots in Kunduz Reaches 32% Completion

The Taliban’s Department of Transport and Aviation has announced that the construction of two truck parking lots in Kunduz province, with a total cost of nearly 57 million Afghanis, has reached 32% progress. These projects are being implemented in the Dasht Abdan area and the Chahar Dara district of the province.

According to officials, less than 29 million Afghanis have been allocated for the Dasht Abdan site, while more than 28 million Afghanis have been designated for the Chahar Dara district. Physical construction of these projects began approximately four months ago.

Truck parking lots are considered important transport infrastructure, and their establishment can help regulate the movement of freight vehicles, reduce congestion on highways, and improve services for drivers. Due to its transit location in the north of the country, Kunduz province is a key route for commercial vehicle traffic.
