China Commits to Collaborate on Rebuilding Mirwais Hospital in Afghanistan

Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, Taliban-appointed Minister of Public Health, discussed strengthening traditional medicine capacity and expanding health cooperation between the two parties in a meeting with Zhao Xing, Chinese Ambassador to Kabul.
According to the information provided, Mr. Jalali requested the Chinese government’s assistance in the reconstruction and development of the Mirwais Regional Hospital. Mirwais Hospital is considered one of the key health centers in the south of the country, and providing quality services there is crucial for residents of several provinces.
The Minister of Public Health also highlighted other priorities raised in the meeting, including supplying equipment for Al-Shifa Hospital and establishing a specialized institute for traditional medicine. He noted that developing traditional medicine could address some of the community’s health needs alongside modern medicine.
Meanwhile, the Chinese Ambassador pledged that China would cooperate in rebuilding Mirwais Hospital and provide necessary support in training health personnel, particularly in the field of Prophetic medicine.
