Maymana Municipality Revenues Reach 133 Million Afghanis in 2025

Officials in Maymana Municipality, the capital of Faryab province, have announced that the total revenues of this office reached 133 million and 156 thousand Afghanis during the year 1404 in the Solar Hijri calendar (2025). These revenues were handed over to the government treasury.

According to them, these revenues were collected from various urban sources that include the distribution of licenses, issuance of sanitation booklets, shop rents, and other municipal services.

Municipalities, as service institutions at the city level, are responsible for managing urban affairs, regulating commercial activities, and providing public services in their respective areas. A significant portion of their revenues usually comes from providing urban services and regulating guilds’ activities.

Officials of Maymana Municipality have not provided further details on how these revenues are spent but emphasized that the entire collected amount has been deposited into the government treasury.
