Transport Service Center Project in Kabul Reports 25% Progress

The Taliban’s Ministry of Transport and Aviation has announced that the construction project of the One Stop Shop service center in Kabul has progressed by 25% so far. According to the ministry, the estimated cost of this project is 7.95 million afghanis.

This center is being built within the premises of the General Directorate of Road Transport Regulation in Kabul. The purpose of establishing it is to streamline administrative activities and expedite the processing of clients’ requests. Officials have stated that once completed, transport-related services will be offered in a single location.

So-called “One Stop Shop” centers are typically established to reduce the need for clients to travel between multiple offices and to prevent the dispersion of services across several departments. However, citizens consistently emphasize that improving service quality, ensuring transparency in procedures, and reducing administrative bureaucracy are fundamental priorities for such projects.

The Taliban administration has not yet announced an exact completion date for this project. Urban affairs experts say that fulfilling service promises in such initiatives plays a crucial role in building trust between citizens and service-providing institutions.
