EU Expresses Serious Concern Over Ongoing War and Its Global Economic Impact

The President of the European Council has stated that the European Union is seriously concerned about the continuation of the war and the increasing economic consequences it is having worldwide. Antonio Costa raised this issue following talks with Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, regarding the situation in Iran.
According to Al Jazeera, Costa said on Monday that he exchanged views with the Pakistani Prime Minister about developments related to Iran and described the discussion as “good.” He emphasized that the continuation of the war could have widespread economic repercussions across the globe.
Without directly referencing specific developments on the ground, the President of the European Council expressed the EU’s concern over ongoing conflicts and warned about their long-term effects on global economic stability.
In recent weeks, developments related to Iran and the international responses to them have become a central focus of diplomatic consultations among countries and regional and global institutions. Within this context, the European Union has stressed the need to manage economic consequences and prevent the escalation of tensions.
