Taliban Defense Ministry Declares Eastern Zone Forces Ready to Counter Threats
The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense has announced that forces stationed in the eastern zone of the country are on high alert and fully prepared to respond to any potential threats. These statements were released in separate video recordings by spokespeople of the ministry.
Enayatullah Khwarazmi, spokesperson for the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense, stated that Afghan forces along what they refer to as an “imaginary line” are ready to respond to any kind of threat. He emphasized that preserving the country’s independence and ensuring its security are considered “Islamic and national” responsibilities of the defense forces.
At the same time, Sediqullah Nusrat, deputy spokesperson of the ministry, in another video recording announced that the forces in the eastern zone are steadfastly positioned in their trenches and are prepared to defend the country’s soil against any aggressor.
According to him, the defense forces are using all available resources to serve the people and maintain security in the areas under their control. Meanwhile, the Taliban administration has consistently emphasized nationwide security in recent months, but some residents in various areas continue to call for greater transparency regarding the security situation and the management of threats.
