Two Miners Die from Gas Poisoning in Samangan Province

Two miners in the Dar-e-Suf Bala district of Samangan province have died due to gas poisoning. The spokesperson for the Samangan Police Command announced that the incident occurred in one of the district’s mines.
Hashmatullah Rahmani, the spokesperson for the Samangan Police Command, stated that local police forces arrived at the scene after the incident and handed over the bodies of the two miners to their families.
So far, no further details have been released regarding how the incident happened or the safety measures in place at the mine. Dar-e-Suf Bala district is considered one of the important mining areas in Samangan, and similar incidents in past years have raised concerns about worker safety conditions.
Despite the recurrence of such accidents, questions about oversight and enforcement of safety standards in mines under Taliban administration remain. Experts emphasize that serious attention is needed to protect the lives of workers.
