Security Forces Rescue Flood-Trapped Residents in Nahre Saraj District, Helmand

Local sources in Helmand province report that security forces have successfully rescued several residents trapped by floods in the Nahre Saraj district. The incident occurred in the “Waziri Manda” area.
According to the sources, heavy rains and ensuing floods caused some people in the area to become surrounded by water. Security forces arrived at the scene, conducted rescue operations, and transferred the trapped individuals to safe locations.
Helmand province is located in southern Afghanistan and annually experiences seasonal floods in some districts, including Nahre Saraj, causing damage to residents. Residents of these areas have repeatedly called for more serious attention from the Taliban administration toward establishing preventive measures and better natural disaster crisis management.
