Qatar Warns Taliban and India to Reduce Tensions with Pakistan

Talat Hussain, a Pakistani journalist and analyst, claimed that Qatar has warned the Taliban administration and India to refrain from any actions that would increase tensions with Pakistan. According to him, Doha emphasized that if the situation continues, it will stop its financial aid to the Taliban administration.

In a video published on his YouTube channel, he said Qatar has asked Taliban officials not to give Pakistan any excuse that could lead to further attacks. This warning, the analyst claims, comes amid rising sensitivities in the relations between Kabul and Islamabad.

Talat Hussain also stated that Qatar sent a separate message to India, urging New Delhi to avoid using Afghan territory against Pakistan. He did not provide further details on how these messages were delivered.

The Pakistani journalist described Qatar’s aim as preventing the escalation of tension along Pakistan’s borders and creating conditions for Islamabad to play a mediating role in regional talks.

In recent months, relations between the Taliban administration and Pakistan have experienced ups and downs, with the presence of armed groups along the border being a central issue of dispute. The Taliban administration’s financial dependence on foreign aid has also been a contentious subject, and threats to cut support could have significant impacts on political and security dynamics.
