Germany Deports Two Afghan Nationals from Hamburg to Kabul After Sentence Completion

German authorities announced that two Afghan nationals have been deported from Hamburg to Kabul following the completion of their prison sentences. According to official sources, these individuals were transferred directly from prison to the airport and were sent to Afghanistan on regular flights.
German officials, without disclosing the identities of the individuals, stated that one is a 30-year-old man convicted of attacking police officers. The second is identified as a 32-year-old man who was found guilty of multiple offenses including repeated assaults, armed robbery, and threatening others.
This action comes as Germany, after establishing consular relations with the Taliban administration, has increased the deportation of asylum seekers with criminal records. Deporting Afghan nationals to a country under Taliban rule has consistently raised human rights concerns due to numerous reports highlighting poor fundamental rights conditions and restrictions within Afghanistan.
Previously, 20 Afghan nationals convicted of various crimes were transferred from Leipzig to Kabul on a special flight. The new deportation policy indicates that Berlin is adopting a stricter approach toward migrants who commit serious crimes.
