Increase in Greenhouse Construction in Zabul Boosts Farmers’ Income

Farmers in Zabul province report a rise in greenhouse construction in recent years, leading to increased income. They say that cultivating crops in greenhouses provides sustainable production and better protection for their agricultural products.
Rural residents of Zabul add that using greenhouses has enabled them to harvest their crops during different seasons of the year and reduce losses caused by climate change. They consider this method effective in improving the economic conditions of farming families.
Meanwhile, the Zabul Agriculture Department under Taliban administration has announced that mechanizing agriculture is a priority in its work. Officials from the department stated that efforts are underway to encourage farmers to use standardized methods and modern agricultural equipment.
Agricultural experts believe that expanding greenhouses and promoting quality agriculture can help boost the local economy and create job opportunities in rural areas in the long term, provided that technical support and market access are also enhanced.
