Women in Herat Launch Soup Production Workshop Supporting Over a Dozen Workers

A family in Herat province has established a soup production workshop, providing employment opportunities for themselves and at least ten other women and girls. Workshop officials report that their activities are running regularly and their products have been well received by the market.
According to the officials, the workshop produces about 200 kilograms of soup daily. They add that they have access to a suitable market for selling their products and have managed to secure a stable position among customers.
Meanwhile, the Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the western region has announced efforts to connect women entrepreneurs to both domestic and international markets. Officials from this organization say that supporting small economic initiatives can play a significant role in strengthening the economic status of women in various parts of the country.
