US Senator Chris Van Hollen Calls for an End to the War with Iran

American Senator Chris Van Hollen criticized Donald Trump’s approach to oil prices and stated that the ongoing war with Iran harms American citizens and must be stopped as soon as possible.
On Sunday, the senator posted on the social media platform X that while American citizens pay more for gasoline, Trump has lifted sanctions against Russia and Iran, allowing these countries to benefit from the rising oil prices caused by the war.
Van Hollen added that these policies do not favor the United States and that it does not take a “genius” to understand their consequences. He emphasized the economic pressures on the American people and insisted that the war must end immediately.
The senator had previously responded to what he called the United States’ failures in the war with Iran, stating that Donald Trump has lost control of the situation. His remarks come as foreign policy and decisions related to energy and sanctions have become a major topic of debate in the US political landscape.
