Snow and Heavy Rainfall Warning Issued for 28 Provinces Across the Country

The Ministry of Transport and Aviation has announced that during today and tomorrow, 28 provinces of the country will experience snowfall, heavy rain, and thunderstorms. According to the ministry, the Salang Pass is also among the areas affected by this weather system.
Based on the released information, the provinces of Herat, Farah, Nimroz, Badghis, Ghor, Helmand, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Daikundi, Faryab, Jawzjan, Balkh, Samangan, Sar-e Pol, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Paktika, Khost, Paktia, Logar, Parwan, Baghlan, Nangarhar, Nuristan, Takhar, and Badakhshan are exposed to these weather changes.
The amount of precipitation is forecasted to range between 10 to 35 millimeters in various locations, while snowfall is estimated to be between 10 to 30 centimeters. This level of precipitation may cause difficulties in traffic on some highways and mountainous passes.
Additionally, the Ministry of Transport and Aviation has reported the possibility of relatively strong winds in the northern, western, southern, and central provinces. Wind speeds in different areas are predicted to be between 50 and 70 kilometers per hour.
