Airstrike on Kabul Addiction Treatment Hospital Kills 400 Patients

Dr. Sharafat Zaman, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Health, announced that a Pakistani military airstrike on a specialized addiction treatment hospital in Kabul has killed 400 patients and injured about 250 others. He stated that burial ceremonies for some of the victims have been held and several bodies have been handed over to their families.
However, dozens of bodies remain at the Kabul Forensic Medicine Department and have yet to be identified or claimed by relatives. Officials warn that concerns may rise among families still unaware of the fate of their loved ones.
The Ministry of Public Health spokesperson called on families of patients who went missing after the incident to visit the Kabul Forensic Medicine Department to identify the bodies.
This event has sparked widespread reactions, as hospitals and medical centers are expected to be protected from military attacks under international law. The Taliban administration is expected to provide clearer information to the public regarding the security of healthcare facilities and follow-up on this incident.
