India Sends 2.5 Tons of Medical Supplies to Kabul to Aid the Injured

India’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman announced that a 2.5-ton shipment of medicine, medical supplies, and equipment has been sent to Kabul to assist in treating the wounded. The aid was delivered to a rehabilitation center for addicts in the capital, and released images show the cargo arriving via Kabul airport.
Randeep Jaiswal, the ministry’s spokesperson, posted several photos on his X account on Friday, March 19, stating that New Delhi expresses solidarity with the people of Afghanistan “during these difficult times” and will continue to provide humanitarian support.
This move comes following a recent airstrike by Pakistan on March 15, after which the Taliban administration claimed that at least 400 people were killed and about 200 others injured. So far, no independent or verified casualty figures have been published, and the lack of transparent information has raised concerns among citizens.
Reports of civilian casualties in this attack have sparked widespread reactions among the country’s residents. Meanwhile, relations between the Taliban administration and Pakistan have faced increasing tension due to a rise in attacks by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its allies, with ongoing concerns about the security implications for border areas.
