Afghanistan’s National Resistance Front Condemns Attacks on Civilians and Public Places

The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan issued a statement condemning the killing of several civilians and attacks on public places, describing these incidents as a sign of ongoing insecurity in the country. The front expressed condolences to the families of the victims and stated that it shares in their grief and pain. The statement emphasized that the continuation of such events has caused waves of sorrow and concern among the country’s residents.

The statement holds the current security situation as a direct result of the policies and actions of the Taliban administration. The National Resistance Front claimed that the facilitation for terrorist networks to operate within the country has seriously endangered the lives and futures of the people. According to the front, the continuation of this trend indicates the Taliban’s inability to provide nationwide security.

Additionally, the National Resistance Front accused the Taliban of using civilian casualties for political gain over the past years to deflect responsibility for crises. The statement said such an approach distorts the truth and hinders the establishment of national trust. The front urged citizens not to allow their legitimate humanitarian feelings to be used to legitimize the Taliban administration’s actions.

Simultaneously, the front called on international organizations to conduct an independent, professional, and apolitical process of investigating and documenting civilian casualties. According to the National Resistance Front, uncovering the truth and ensuring transparency could pave the way for the accountability of those responsible for these incidents.
