Kabul Governor Emphasizes ‘Good Governance’ at Eid Coordination Meeting

A coordination meeting for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr was held at the Kabul provincial office under the chairmanship of Mullah Aminullah Obaid, the Taliban-appointed governor of Kabul. The meeting focused on how government departments should prepare to hold Eid ceremonies and provide better services to the capital’s residents.
According to a statement from the Kabul provincial office, the governor emphasized values such as ‘good governance,’ trustworthiness, honesty, and proper conduct with the people. He urged officials to perform their duties with sincerity, responsibility, and full commitment.
The Kabul governor also gave guidance and advice to officials regarding cleanliness and beautification of the city, especially concerning urban sanitation. He stressed serious attention to the state of cleanliness in urban areas during the Eid days.
This comes amid ongoing complaints from Kabul residents about challenges related to urban services, including waste management and maintenance of public areas. There are expectations that the Taliban administration will take effective steps in practice to improve the city’s condition and respond to the needs of the people.
