Hamid Karzai Condemns Pakistan’s Airstrikes on Kabul

Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, strongly condemned the severe airstrikes attributed to Pakistan on parts of Kabul city, stating that these attacks targeted residential areas and civilian centers.
On Monday night, March 15, Karzai wrote on his X page that these bombings caused casualties and damage to civilians, especially in residential neighborhoods and some healthcare centers in the capital. He emphasized that targeting civilian locations is against internationally accepted principles.
The former president also warned Pakistani military forces that continuing such attacks will not only fail to achieve their intended goals but could further complicate the situation to Pakistan’s detriment. According to him, ongoing military tensions are not a solution to the existing crises.
Karzai added that if Pakistan seeks regional stability and wants to safeguard its own interests, it must reconsider its policies and base its relations with Afghanistan on good neighborliness and civilized interaction.
These remarks come amid reports on Monday night of airstrikes and loud explosions in parts of Kabul. Several residents of the capital reported hearing multiple explosions followed by sporadic gunfire across various areas of the city.
