Pakistan Fires 159 Rockets into Five Districts of Kunar in 24 Hours

The Department of Information and Culture of Kunar has announced that in the past 24 hours, Pakistani military forces have fired 159 rockets and artillery shells into parts of this border province. According to the department, these attacks targeted the districts of Manora, Sarkano, Nari, Dangam, and Shultan.

Zia-ur-Rehman Spin-Ghar, head of intelligence at the department, stated that among these attacks, 40 rounds hit Manora district, 67 rounds struck Sarkano, 40 rounds impacted Nari, seven rounds targeted Dangam, and five rounds hit Shultan district.

He added that no casualties or material damages have been reported as a result of this rocket barrage; however, such incidents continue to cause serious concern among local residents.

Kunar is an eastern border province of Afghanistan adjacent to Pakistan and has witnessed clashes and rocket attacks in previous years. Despite the recurrence of these events, the Taliban administration has yet to present an effective and sustainable solution to prevent the repeated cross-border attacks, leaving residents in these areas constantly complaining about insecurity and uncertainty about their future.
