Four Family Members Killed in Pakistani Artillery Attack in Khost

Taliban authorities have reported that a Pakistani army artillery attack on the Alishir-Terezyo district of Khost province killed four members of a family, including two children. Additionally, three other children were wounded in the incident.

Hamdullah Fetrat, the deputy spokesperson for the Taliban administration, stated in a press release on Thursday, March 11, that the artillery strikes targeted residential areas. According to the information provided, the casualties include a man, a woman, a boy, and a girl.

The statement further noted that the artillery shells hit the tents of the Kuchis, a nomadic group that annually migrates through certain eastern regions of Afghanistan and lives in tents.

The Taliban administration also reported that parts of Kunar province have come under similar attacks but did not provide additional details regarding possible casualties in those areas.

Meanwhile, the United Nations previously announced that civilian casualties attributable to attacks linked to Pakistan exceed 50. However, the Taliban administration claims the number is over 100. Pakistani officials have yet to issue an official response on the matter.
