US Company Planet Labs Extends Delay for Publishing Middle East Satellite Images from 4 to 14 Days

American company Planet Labs has announced that it will extend the publication delay for satellite images of the Middle East from four days to fourteen days after capture. According to the company, this decision aims to prevent the potential use of these images against the United States and its regional allies.

According to a report by Reuters, the company has informed its users that the new restrictions apply to all images captured over Middle Eastern areas. Previously, these images were made available four days after being taken, but the new timeframe has been increased to two weeks.

Planet Labs is a private company active in satellite imaging, whose images are used in various sectors including media, research institutions, and analysts.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Israeli officials have also imposed restrictions on the publication of certain information and images related to potential damage following missile attacks by Iran. No further details have been released regarding the extent of these restrictions.
