Pentagon Reports 140 U.S. Troops Injured in Joint U.S.-Israeli Attack on Iran

The United States Department of Defense (Pentagon) has announced that 140 American military personnel were wounded following a joint U.S. and Israeli attack on Iran. This figure represents the latest official casualty count of American forces amid recent tensions with Iran.

Sean Parnell, Pentagon spokesperson, stated in a written release sent via email that among the wounded, eight are suffering from severe injuries. He did not provide further details about their medical condition.

According to the Associated Press, this is the first time U.S. officials have reported a higher number of injuries following Iran’s retaliatory missile and drone attacks. These attacks had previously resulted in the deaths of seven U.S. servicemen in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Military tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated, with potential consequences for regional stability in the Middle East. So far, Iranian officials have not officially released any new details regarding the situation.
