Al Jazeera Reports on Impact of Iranian Missile Attacks on Israel

Rory Challands, Al Jazeera’s correspondent in Jordan, has reported that following Iranian missile attacks on Israel, air raid sirens have repeatedly sounded in parts of central and northern Israel. According to him, this situation has led Israeli residents to repeatedly seek shelter in safe rooms and bunkers.
Challands, reporting from Jordan, stated that the country lies along the flight path of some missiles, and he has heard the activity of air defense systems from a distance. He added that missile and drone launches have continued throughout the night.
The correspondent also noted that when the sirens sound, Israeli citizens are urged to immediately go to shelters. He described this situation as part of Iran’s strategy to apply psychological and attritional pressure on Israel.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military announced that the fired missiles were either intercepted or fell in open areas, and there have been no reports of injuries so far. However, according to the Al Jazeera reporter, it is difficult to independently assess the extent of the damage due to limited access for journalists to the impact sites and restrictions on publishing images on social media.
Challands emphasized that, in the absence of extensive field information, it is unclear exactly which targets were hit or whether significant damage has been inflicted.
