Imported Power Cut in Tangi Tashqurghan Causes Blackout in Kabul and Other Provinces

The power company, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, has reported that the imported power line in the Tangi Tashqurghan area was cut off due to a severe storm, leading to temporary power outages in Kabul and several other provinces.
Mohammad Sadiq Haqparast, the company’s spokesperson, announced that the incident occurred following the storm and resulted in the interruption of imported electricity supply to parts of the country.
According to him, technical teams from Pul-e Khumri and Mazar-i-Sharif have been dispatched to the site to investigate the issue and restore electricity as soon as possible.
Tangi Tashqurghan is an important transmission route for electricity in northern Afghanistan, and any damage to power lines in this area can affect the power supply of multiple provinces. The power company has not yet announced an exact timeline for when power will be restored.
