Hezbollah Attacks Northern Israeli Targets; Reports of Israeli Helicopter Downed

Lebanese sources have reported that Hezbollah launched attacks on targets in northern Israel. According to these reports, the city of Kiryat Shmona and an air defense base in the city of Haifa were targeted with rocket and missile strikes. It is also claimed that during clashes in eastern Lebanon, an Israeli army helicopter was shot down.
Media outlets close to Hezbollah stated that the group’s fighters, after monitoring the advance of Israeli forces from the Al-Aqaba heights towards the border settlement of Merkava, targeted them with rockets. Additionally, another group of Israeli soldiers advancing from the Haret al-Barsima area in the border village of Raba al-Thalathin were subjected to a similar attack.
A statement attributed to Hezbollah said that the Zayif air defense base in Haifa was also targeted with missile attacks. Independent sources have not yet released any details on the extent of damage or possible casualties from these attacks.
Simultaneously, local sources in eastern Lebanon reported seeing Israeli army helicopters hovering over the heights overlooking the village of Nabi Sheet. According to these reports, Hezbollah fired heavy anti-aircraft fire at these helicopters and claimed to have hit one while it was attempting to conduct a troop transfer operation. Israeli official authorities have not publicly responded to these claims as of the publication of this report.
