Taliban’s Labor Ministry Discusses Vocational Training Curriculum with Norwegian Refugee Council

The Taliban-run Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has announced that Mawlawi Mohammad Zahid Ahmadzai, Deputy Minister for Labor Affairs, met with Tarja Magnussen Waterdal, head of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). The meeting focused on cooperation in vocational training and the development of curricula for specific professions.

According to released information, the NRC head requested the Ministry of Labor to collaborate on arranging and developing training curricula for particular trades. She also stated that she would endeavor to encourage relevant officials in Norway to support Afghanistan in various sectors.

In response, the Deputy Minister for Labor Affairs assured the Ministry’s readiness to cooperate in the mentioned fields. He also urged the Norwegian Refugee Council to provide the necessary services for Afghan citizens in different areas.

The Norwegian Refugee Council is an international organization active in supporting refugees and delivering educational and social services in several countries. Cooperation in vocational training can play a significant role in enhancing job skills and creating employment opportunities for the country’s residents.
