Explosion in South Waziristan Kills Two Pakistani Soldiers, Injures 31

Pakistani media have reported that an explosion in Wana, the capital of South Waziristan, killed two Pakistani soldiers and injured 31 others. Among the wounded are five additional Pakistani soldiers.

According to these reports, explosives were placed in a crowded area near the entrance of a supermarket. The explosion occurred at a time when the location was busy with civilian traffic.

This incident happened one day after another explosion in Miranshah, the capital of North Waziristan, near a Pakistani forces checkpoint. So far, no further details about the perpetrators of these attacks have been released.
