China Calls for Immediate Halt to War and Respect for Iran’s Sovereignty

China’s Foreign Minister has called for an immediate halt to the war and for preventing the expansion of conflicts, emphasizing the need to respect the sovereignty and security of Iran and the Gulf countries. He also urged all parties to return to dialogue as soon as possible.
According to Al Jazeera, citing Reuters, Wang Yi stated that the sovereignty and security of Iran and other regional countries must be respected. Referring to current developments, he stressed the necessity of containing tensions and preventing the war from spreading.
The senior Chinese diplomat further noted that any attempts to instigate a revolution or change the political system in Iran lack popular support. He added that such approaches would not contribute to regional stability.
The Chinese Foreign Minister went on to assert that this war should never have occurred and that major powers must play a constructive and responsible role in reducing tensions. China has consistently emphasized resolving disputes through political means and dialogue.
