Drone Attack Sparks Large Fire at US Companies in Basra, Iraq

A drone attack targeted the offices and warehouses of two American companies in the city of Basra, Iraq, causing a large fire at these facilities and prompting the evacuation of Iraqi workers from the site.
According to Reuters, citing informed sources, the attack targeted the facilities of Halliburton and KBR. Following the incident, fires broke out in the administrative offices and warehouses of both companies.
Al Jazeera also confirmed the news, reporting that the fire caused by the drone attack engulfed parts of these sites.
A Basra Operations Command official stated that the attacks on these two American companies resulted in a “very extensive fire.”
Additionally, an Iraqi security official told Al Jazeera that the offices of these American oil companies in Basra were evacuated of Iraqi workers. So far, there have been no reports on possible casualties or the perpetrators of the attack.
