94 Wagons of Commercial Goods Arrive at Rosanj Station in Herat via Iran-Afghanistan Railway

The Taliban administration has announced that, in continuation of trade transfers along the Khaf-Herat railway line, 94 wagons of commercial goods from Iran have arrived at Rosanj station in Herat province. Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the administration, stated that the transfer of goods along this route is proceeding normally with no delays reported.

According to him, a freight train arrived at Rosanj station last night, carrying 37 wagons of rebar iron and 9 wagons of flour. Mujahid added that another train carrying foodstuffs, construction materials, and fuel also reached the station.

The Taliban spokesperson also emphasized that the Khaf-Herat railway commission and related authorities are effectively performing their duties. Citing Iranian railway officials, he said that hundreds of additional wagons are currently moving within Iran towards Afghanistan and will enter the country as scheduled.

The Khaf-Herat railway is considered one of the main trade routes between Afghanistan and Iran, playing a significant role in transporting raw materials, food products, and construction materials, especially to western regions of Afghanistan. Given the domestic market’s reliance on imports, the consistent continuation of these transfers could have a positive impact on market supply stability.

Meanwhile, Mujahid urged traders not to increase the prices of commercial goods without justified reasons. This appeal comes amid repeated complaints from residents about price fluctuations in the markets, with expectations that responsible authorities will maintain transparent and effective monitoring of prices.
