Physical Altercation Erupts in US Senate Hearing Over War Funding

A US Senate hearing focused on military issues turned into a physical confrontation between a Republican senator and a former Marine colonel. According to a report by Al Hadath TV network, tensions escalated when Brian McGinnis, a former US Marine colonel, protested against funding the war against Iran. He emphasized that the war was pursued in Israel’s interest. Subsequently, Republican Senator Tim Sheehy engaged in a verbal dispute with McGinnis, which escalated into a physical altercation. The senator, along with police forces, attempted to forcibly remove McGinnis from the hearing room. Before being escorted out by security personnel, McGinnis loudly voiced his opposition to war funding. This incident interrupted the official Senate session and attracted media attention.
