Pentagon Estimates Daily Cost of Full-Scale War with Iran at $1 Billion

A U.S. congressional official has revealed that initial Pentagon estimates indicate that the cost of a full-scale war with Iran could reach $1 billion per day. According to the official, if the conflict continues, such expenses would place significant pressure on the United States’ budget and economy.

American media report that the official, speaking to The Atlantic magazine, emphasized that this level of military expenditure would require extensive financial and logistical resource allocation. Details regarding the framework of this estimate and potential scenarios have not yet been released.

Meanwhile, The Washington Post, in a separate report, noted that the Pentagon’s stockpile of precision weapons is depleting. According to this report, thousands of advanced air defense missiles and costly munitions have been used in recent attacks.

The Washington Post added that in less than a week since the start of the attacks, the rate of consumption of these weapons has raised concerns regarding the readiness levels and remaining inventories. U.S. officials have so far refrained from publicly commenting on the specifics of these concerns.
