Pakistan Claims Destruction of 226 Taliban Outposts and Hundreds of Fighters Killed

Pakistan’s Information Minister has announced that during the military operation called “Ghadhb al-Haqq,” 481 Taliban forces in Afghanistan were killed and 696 others wounded. According to him, this operation also led to the destruction and capture of hundreds of Taliban checkpoints.
Atullah Thararr wrote on his official X (formerly Twitter) page on Wednesday, March 3rd, that Pakistani forces destroyed 226 Taliban checkpoints and captured 35 others. He also claimed that 198 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery equipment belonging to the Taliban were destroyed in these attacks.
These claims come while the Taliban administration reported yesterday extensive casualties following clashes with Pakistan. Officials from the administration stated that 110 people, including women and children, lost their lives as a result of the clashes.
At the same time, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) also announced that Pakistani attacks on some Afghan areas have resulted in 42 civilian deaths and 104 civilians wounded. This data indicates that civilians have once again fallen victim to military tensions between the parties.
The escalation of clashes between Pakistan and the Taliban administration has heightened concerns about the security situation in border areas and the protection of residents in these regions—an issue that has consistently required accountability and transparency from the involved parties.
