Taliban Reports Seizure of Seven Pakistani Military Posts in Kandahar

The Taliban’s Ministry of Defense has announced that during an operation called “Red Al-Zulm,” forces from the Sixth Border Brigade, affiliated with the 205 Al-Badr Corps in Kandahar province, captured seven Pakistani military posts.
According to a statement released by the ministry, dozens of Pakistani soldiers were killed and wounded during the operation. Pakistani officials have not yet commented on the claim, and independent sources have not confirmed the reports.
The Ministry of Defense claims that Taliban forces also seized seven light and heavy weapons, eight day-and-night vision camera mounts, two large communication towers, and a quantity of ammunition.
These clashes are occurring amid recurring tensions along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border in recent months. The continuation of such operations could heighten concerns about expanding insecurity in the border regions and its impact on local residents—an issue on which the Taliban administration has yet to provide clear explanations regarding the consequences.
