CIA Headquarters in Riyadh Targeted in Drone Attack

Israel’s Channel 12 has reported that the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, has been targeted in an attack. According to the outlet, this facility is located within the grounds of the United States embassy.
Earlier, two informed sources told the media that a drone attack, suspected to be launched by Iran, targeted the compound. The Washington Post, citing the same sources, reported that American and Saudi officials have confirmed the impact of two drones on the embassy grounds.
According to the U.S. State Department, part of the building’s ceiling collapsed as a result of the incident, and the interior was filled with smoke. Embassy staff were also ordered to take shelter to ensure their safety.
Several former U.S. intelligence officials have stated that this attack has disrupted some of the CIA’s operational activities in Saudi Arabia. So far, no further details about the extent of damage or possible casualties have been released.
