Afghanistan Trust Fund Supports Vital Public Services Amid Challenges

The Afghanistan Special Trust Fund has announced its support for critical public service systems, including the health sector, renewable energy facilities, and water supply networks, in collaboration with its partners, to ensure the continuation of essential service delivery across the country.
The organization emphasized that maintaining fundamental services plays a key role in improving residents’ living conditions and strengthening community resilience. According to the fund, when basic services are delivered consistently and sustainably, it creates an environment conducive to growth and greater social stability.
In recent years, Afghanistan has faced extensive challenges in its public service sector. Financial limitations and structural issues under Taliban administration have made it difficult for many residents to access quality services.
Operating under the United Nations umbrella, the Afghanistan Special Trust Fund stated its goal is to preserve and strengthen the systems that enable essential service provision—an effort that can significantly contribute to enhancing public welfare and reducing community vulnerability.
