Pakistani Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai Says Afghanistan-Pakistan Tensions Are Resoluble

Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the leader of Pakistan’s opposition, has stated that the ongoing tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan have not yet reached a stage where restoring peace is impossible. He emphasized that the current situation is manageable and can be resolved through political means.
Achakzai told the media that conflict between neighboring countries could have dangerous consequences. According to him, any escalation of tensions between Kabul and Islamabad would be harmful not only to the two countries but also to regional stability.
The Pakistani opposition leader added that despite a warlike and tense atmosphere, the existing conditions still have the capacity for resolution through dialogue and understanding. He stressed the necessity of employing diplomatic solutions to prevent the crisis from expanding.
Relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have experienced ups and downs in recent years, with security and border issues being among the main points of contention between the two sides. However, these recent remarks by the Pakistani political figure indicate that, from the perspective of some Islamabad officials, the path of dialogue remains open.
