Tripartite Ukraine War Talks Postponed to Early March, Venue Unconfirmed

Russian media have reported that the tripartite meeting on the Ukraine war has been postponed to early March, with the exact location of the talks yet to be determined.

TASS news agency, citing a Russian source, reported that the meeting will not be held at the previously scheduled time and that consultations to decide on the venue are ongoing. According to the source, discussions among the parties are continuing, but a final decision on the meeting place has not been made.

Meanwhile, Russia Al-Youm network reported that RIA Novosti, quoting a diplomatic source, said the next round of tripartite negotiations is unlikely to take place in Geneva. Geneva had previously been considered one of the potential options for the venue.

On the other side, Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, said he has spoken with Donald Trump, President of the United States, Steve Witkoff, Special Representative, and Jared Kushner about preparations for the upcoming meeting of the negotiating teams. According to him, this meeting is planned within the framework of the tripartite mechanism and is scheduled for early March.

Further details regarding the participants’ levels and the agenda of the meeting have not yet been officially released.
