Modi Urges Strengthening India-Israel Ties During Speech in Israeli Parliament

Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, during his official visit to Israel, emphasized the need to deepen the ties between Delhi and Tel Aviv in a speech delivered at the Israeli parliament. He stated that India stands with Israel now and in the future with “full commitment.”

In his address, Modi described the relations between the two countries as important and called for expanding cooperation across various sectors. Although he did not provide specific details about the areas of collaboration, he stressed the durability of the partnership between the two nations.

These remarks come at a time when Israel faces widespread international criticism over its war in the Gaza Strip. Numerous human rights organizations and several countries have condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza, labeling them as severe human rights violations and even acts of genocide—accusations that have intensified political and diplomatic pressure on Tel Aviv.

In this context, India’s strong declaration of support for Israel could have significant regional and international repercussions, especially as the Gaza conflict continues amid growing calls for an end to violence and the protection of civilians.
