Afghanistan and Turkmenistan Discuss Enhancing Quality and Technical Cooperation

The General Directorate of National Standards and Quality of Afghanistan announced that Faizullah Tamim, the director general of the agency, met with officials from the State Standards and Norms Department of Turkmenistan during his visit to the country. The primary focus of the meeting was on improving quality standards, technical cooperation, and the exchange of professional expertise between the two sides.
According to the agency’s statement, the meeting also emphasized expanding bilateral cooperation and strengthening professional relations between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. Both parties highlighted the importance of coordination in standards and technical norms to promote trade development and improve product quality.
Experts state that collaboration in the field of standards and quality control could play a significant role in facilitating commercial trade and enhancing the credibility of goods in regional markets. Turkmenistan, a northern neighbor of Afghanistan, has maintained ongoing economic interactions with Afghanistan in recent years.
