Taliban Rejects Russian Claims of Terrorist Groups Operating in Afghanistan

In response to recent statements by Russian officials alleging the presence of international terrorist fighters in Afghanistan, the Taliban administration has denied these claims, describing them as inaccurate.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Taliban administration, stated that the security situation in Afghanistan is stable and that no foreign groups are active within the country’s territories. According to him, the entire geography of Afghanistan is under the control of “a single authority,” leaving no room for external groups to operate.
Mujahid expressed regret over these allegations made by Russian sources, emphasizing that such statements have been repeated before, especially during the presence of American forces in Afghanistan, all of which the Taliban administration has rejected.
He also urged Russian officials to “correctly understand the realities of Afghanistan” and base their reports on the current conditions and what he called objective facts.
The Taliban administration consistently claims it will not allow Afghanistan’s soil to be used against other countries. However, in recent years, concerns have been raised by some countries and international organizations about the activities of extremist groups in Afghanistan. The Taliban have so far not provided a clear and verifiable response to these concerns, which has raised questions at regional and global levels.
