Pakistani Punjab Police Detain Several Afghan Students Amid Exam Period

Several Afghan students in Pakistan say Punjab provincial police have entered their dormitories and taken some of them into custody. According to these students, the incident occurred as their exam period approached, and any delay could disrupt their studies for an entire year.
These students, who are studying at Quaid-e-Azam Medical College in Punjab, told media outlets that the arrests were made without prior explanation. They emphasize that the continuation of this situation poses a serious threat to their academic future.
According to the students, this is not the first time they have faced such treatment. They had previously raised the issue with the Afghan embassy in Islamabad.
Some of these students added that they have submitted their visa renewal applications to the relevant authorities but have yet to receive any response. The Afghan embassy in Pakistan has not yet commented on the incident.
