Residents of Herat Complain About Serious Issues in Urban Transport System

Several residents of Herat city say the urban transport system in the province faces serious problems and does not meet the daily needs of the people. They demand facilities to be created and immediate attention to the state of inner-city transport. According to residents, the lack of standard vehicles, disorder in routes, and absence of proper management are major challenges in this sector. This situation has caused significant difficulties for citizens in their daily commute. Herat is one of the large and populous cities in the country, and organized urban transportation plays an important role in its economic and social life. However, residents state that the Taliban administration has yet to present an effective plan to improve the urban transport system. Citizens emphasize that addressing this issue can play a fundamental role in reducing congestion, saving time, and improving the quality of urban life, and that relevant officials must take practical measures in this regard.
