Winter Storm Cuts Power to Over 100,000 Homes and Disrupts Flights on US East Coast

A severe winter storm on the East Coast of the United States has caused power outages affecting over 100,000 homes and led to more than 10,000 flight cancellations or delays. The storm has disrupted the lives of millions of residents across the region.

According to reports, the states of New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware have suffered the most damage from the storm, with widespread power outages reported among their populations. Utility companies are working to restore the damaged electrical networks.

Meanwhile, the FlightAware website announced that on Sunday alone, more than 10,000 flights across the US were either canceled or delayed. Of these, over 3,400 flights originating from or destined for US cities were completely canceled.

Earlier, The Hill had reported that over 60 million Americans were affected by the emergency situation caused by heavy snowfall. Local officials have urged citizens to avoid non-essential travel and to observe safety precautions.
