Kabul Governor Calls Islamic System the Shared Home of All Afghans

Aminullah Obaid, the Taliban-appointed governor of Kabul, stated at a public gathering in Qarabagh district that the “Islamic system is the shared home of all Afghans” and urged citizens to stand alongside this system.
He emphasized that the fundamental responsibilities of the system include ensuring security, protecting people’s lives and property, and providing opportunities for employment and education. According to him, in return for these responsibilities, the people are obligated to cooperate with the system to help rebuild the country.
The Kabul governor also added that stability and progress can only be achieved when the people and officials work “shoulder to shoulder” and contribute to the country’s development.
These remarks come amid ongoing calls in recent years for comprehensive security, job creation, and expanded access to education—issues regarded by a large portion of citizens as their fundamental demands.
