Taliban Distributes Red Jujube Seedlings to 100 Farmers in Khost

The Taliban’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock has announced the distribution of red jujube seedlings to 100 farmers in the Sabari (Yaqubi) and Tanai districts of Khost province. According to the ministry, the aim of this initiative is to increase farmers’ incomes and strengthen horticulture in these areas.

Based on the information provided, each farmer received 40 red jujube seedlings along with 6 kilograms of chemical fertilizer. Officials stated that these supports are intended to aid agricultural production and improve the economic conditions of farming families.

Red jujube cultivation has yielded positive results in some parts of Khost in recent years, leading to growing interest among farmers in planting it. Khost, located in eastern Afghanistan, has a suitable climate that facilitates the growth of certain orchard products, including jujube.
