Four-Year-Old Child Rescued from 80-Meter Deep Well in Helmand

The 215 Azm Corps, affiliated with the Taliban Ministry of Defense, announced that a four-year-old child was rescued by their technical team after falling into an 80-meter deep well in Marjah district of Helmand province.

According to the released statement, the incident occurred on Friday, and technical forces were able to pull the child out of the well within about an hour. Officials stated that the rescue operation was carried out using specialized equipment.

Official sources have described the child’s health condition as satisfactory. No further details have yet been provided regarding how the child fell into the well.

In some rural areas of Helmand, the presence of deep water wells without covers and safety measures remains a serious concern for local residents.
