FAO Launches Registration for Grant Assistance to Afghan Agricultural Businesses

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Afghanistan has announced the start of registration for adaptive grant assistance under the Emergency Food Security Project. Funded by the World Bank, the program has a budget allocation of up to six million dollars.
According to FAO, the program aims to support agricultural sector businesses and strengthen food security in the country, a sector that has faced significant economic and climate challenges in recent years.
Published information states that women-led startups, small production groups, and small to medium-sized agricultural enterprises qualify to apply. FAO emphasized that this initiative could help sustain productive activities across various regions.
The project includes three separate windows of adaptive grant assistance, each with specific conditions, financial amounts, and requirements. Further details about selection criteria and application procedures have been made available by FAO.
